Sample Letter of Recommendation [Negative]

Cover Letter for Pharma Jobs

You may need to send several professional letters to keep in touch with the employer during the recruitment process. Companies may ask the candidates applying for job to get a recommendation letter from their previous employer. A recommendation letter can be mostly positive, but if the employer was not happy with their ex-employees performance, then they can send a negative recommendation letter. Negative recommendation letter should place emphasis on the negative features of the employee, their misconduct or unethical behavior.

This letter should be drafted in the professional letter format. Mention the name of the concerned person; avoid mentioning to whomsoever it may concern. In the first paragraph of the letter, mention the reason why you are writing this letter. Let the employer know that you are not recommending the particular candidate for job in their organization. The body of the letter should provide the complete details about the reasons, why you would not recommend your previous employee for any job. Make sure that the data that you mention should be to the point and factual.

Jackson, MS 39211.

Dear Mr. Tristan,

This is to notify you that Samuel Tiff has worked with Medico Pharmaceuticals from September 9, 2003 to February 15, 2004 as a junior chemist. Samuels was irregular at work, indiscipline and did not followed rules implied to create professional work environment.

As Samuel was recruiter directly from college recruitment drive, he was provided complete training about how to behave in professional work environment; still there were many discrepancies in his behavior at work. Even after several warning provided to him about his uninformed leaves and unprofessional behavior, there was no improvement seen in his attitude at work.

We had issues several memos and warned him about his unethical behavior. He was unable to complete simple task assigned to him on time. The other new entry level trainees, who joined along with Samuel, were able to cope up with work and understand ethical behavior at workplace.

I would suggest that you do not select Samuel Tiff for any job in your company. I hope that you will consider my request. I am grateful that you took time out from your busy schedule to go through this letter.

Sincerely,

Mr. Gregory A. Eaton,
HR Head,
Excel Pharmaceuticals,
2494 Sundown Lane,
San Diego, CA 92110.

Dear Mr. Eaton,

I am writing this letter to inform you that Sandra Fernandez worked with New Medico Pharmaceuticals from December 11, 2010 to September 24, 2011 as an analyst. During her tenure at our company, Sandra did not prove to be a good employee. She was unable to attain the desired results expected from her.

As an analyst she was assigned job to test various samples of drugs and estimate their purity and quality. The batch results carried by her were later tested by senior analyst and there were many discrepancies found in the results. She was given verbal warning about her negligence and trained about sample testing and analysis. Even the next sample batch test results by Sandra had several mistakes. Such negligence at work was not acceptable. Hence, Sandra was asked to resign from her job.

I hope that you consider my suggestion and do not recruit Sandra Fernandez for any analytical job in your company. Thank you for going through this letter.

Sincerely
